About the Gospel in China
The Gospel in China is a blog maintained by a missionary working in China’s underground church movement. All proper nouns are omitted for their protection, but all information is presented honestly in an effort to paint an accurate portrait of the spiritual condition of China. Stay tuned to learn about this young family’s work, to be updated with prayer requests from the front lines, and to develop your own heart and plan for the largest nation on earth.

If you haven’t read “Hudson Taylor’s Spiritual Secret” I would love to get you some copies. They will be an encouragement to you. You are continuing the very work that Hudson Taylor started in the China Inland Mission. I know who you are (at least two of you!) as I sang in your wedding, J and S. We are praying for you!

I have been following your blog since first stumbling upon it some months ago and I am thrilled to tell you that my husband and I are soon to follow in your footsteps! We hope to begin teaching English with the ELIC (www.elic.org) in the Fall of 2009. We would love to ask you some questions!
For at least six months I have been in continual prayer for China. I felt God showed me a field white with rice ready for harvest (seen this somewhat in person as I have lived in rice country in South Texas) – the field spread all across China. I felt God tell me that the seeds for this harvest had been planted by those early missionaries in the 1930′and 40’s and that though it had been a long time he’d not forgotten or failed to answer the prayers of those early dedicated missionaries. I am so happy to find some one working in China. I will enjoy reading the rest of your blogs about your experiences. I have been wanting to find a way to work in China myself but know it is very difficult. I especially feel called to Tibet (near Lhasa). I don’t know how I would be able to do this but have at least chosen to dedicate time each day to pray for the people of China and Tibet.
Greetings!!~~

Hello, I’ve recently started subscribing to your posts and am particularly interested in getting involved with mission opportunities in China. I am currently an English teacher in Taicang just north of Shanghai but have a lot of time on my hands. Do you know of possible opportunities in the Taicang area I could hook up with or where to even get started?
